Professional Development Single Session Agenda Script
Your School Health Council has presented your professional development series to the district school board. And they are intrigued! They would like a sense of what each session will look like. Prepare a detailed agenda for one of the sessions in your series.
The resources that you will use for this assignment are the same listed in the professional development series outline directions. However, this time you might use different resources or additional ones. Be sure to have your series assignment handy as you will refer to it often
Your audience will consist of adult learners. To successfully deliver professional development to them, it’s helpful to have a background in adult learning. The CDC has created a training specifically on teaching adult Learners. You don’t need to participate in the entire training but I have listed three videos I strongly suggest you watch. Later on, you will need to indicate how you incorporated ideas from these videos.
I provide a template for your agenda. The beginning parts are pretty straightforward. And you will often refer to your series outline. Notice in one of the steps that you need to indicate how you incorporated the CDC training videos into your design.
When you put together the presentation outline, you might choose to create a two-column table with a detailed description of each activity in the first column, and the time frame in the second column. The total time should equal the amount of time you set for this session.
Finally, be sure to include a bibliography of the resources that you used. Again, some of these resources may be the same as you use for the series outline and you may even include a few more.
