The instructor will post the correct answers and provide the reasons for those rankings, according to two experts (Jeff Stem merman and Ken Giese of REI Outfitters, both of whom act as guides for many canoe trips in the Boundary Waters region). Put those expert rankings in Column D. At this point, the Individual Error scores in Column A can be computed by taking the absolute difference between Column B and Column D. The Group Error scores in Column E can also be computed by taking the absolute difference between Column C and Column D. Finally, the Persuasion scores can be computed by taking the absolute difference between Column B and Column C. Remember that all of the differences are absolute differences—there should not be any negative numbers in the table. After completing all these computations, fill in the three scores below the table: the Individual Score (total of Column A), the Group Score (total of Column E), and the Persuasion Score (total of Column F). The Persuasion score measures how much you are able to influence other group members to match your thinking.
