Through this exercise, you will understand how to create references and bibliography to create a formal literature review.

1. Find 2 journal publications, 2 conference publications, 1 patent, and 2 websites closely related to your project. 
2. In a word document, place at least 1 figure from each publication, patent, and website. If there is an important table, also put the table into the word document.
3. Label each figure and table and use 1-2 sentences to describe and summarize what the figure or table is about. 
4. Create a reference for each figure.
5. Write a summary (1-2 paragraphs) about what you think the state-of-the-art is regarding the technology for your student-defined project.

For the Lodi Winery, you have been asked by management to examine the data collected and analyzed in the previous modules. The objective is for you to help management decide on the right mix of wine bottles to sell based on newly derived profit information while considering the limitations of the particular types of grapes available for production.

1. This week’s reading centered around Bitcoin Economics.  For this week’s research paper, search the Internet and explain why some organizations are accepting and other organizations are rejecting the use of Bitcoins as a standard form of currency.  Your paper needs to identify two major companies that have adopted Bitcoin technology as well as one that has refused accepting Bitcoin as a form of currency. Be sure to discuss each organization, how they adopted (or why they won’t adopt) Bitcoin, and what recommendations you have for them to continue to support Bitcoin (or why they should support Bitcoin).

The software development plan is now mostly complete with respect to the planning, and many steps in the overall process have been defined. The next step is to prepare a project schedule so that the entire team and the stakeholders will understand the tasks and the completion dates.

For this assignment, you will prepare a project schedule. 

The following are the project deliverables:

The Task

You and your group will research an advanced telecommunications and network security topic. For this paper, you can pick your own research topic as long as it relates to the objectives of this course. When you decide your topic, you need to obtain my approval.

Your task is to write a report summarizing your research (about 6-10 pages). The writing should be original. Before you begin writing your report, you need to read as many references related to the subject as you can. Basically, you would feel a bit insecure writing about a topic until you have digested and completely understood several references.

You will have a table of contents for the paper with sections as shown in the suggestions below::

• Abstract section summarizing your research
• Introduction section: this section provides an overview or background of the topic and its purpose, including
  • Define the subject area, and why is this subject important?
• Body of work sections:
  • What are the key issues (pros/cons, if appropriate)?
  • Identify benefits, obstacles, innovations as appropriate
  • Methodology: key ideas, summaries, measures, analytical discussions, etc.
• Conclusion section: analyze and summarize your findings, state your opinions, conclusions, recommendations. It is common for such a paper to suggest new ideas, critique some of the existing ideas, and propose some new directions.
• References section: Sources and references need to be cited properly using APA format. Around 10 or more references are appropriate, some of which must be scholarly peer- reviewed articles

Presentation:

Team presentations begin at 9:00 am on Sunday of your residency session. You need to prepare PowerPoint slides for about 15 minutes presentation time per team

Grading:

Groups will be graded primarily on their clarity and the extent to which they bring out the critical issues related to the topic. Content, clarity, depth, and paper format will be considered.

Notes IMPORTANT:

Using the HBR coursepack case study you selected in Module One, you will develop three deliverables for your final submission. Milestone One, the executive proposal, is the first deliverable. In Milestone Two, your project plan and system design will be submitted together. These deliverables will be used to direct the implementation effort in your next course, IT 420. If the scope of your planned project is not fully implementable due to constraints on time and resources, you will need to prepare to deliver at the end of the next course a prototype, simulation of the information system vision, or a detailed projection of what the fully implemented system would look like. This projection of a fully implemented system is expected to be much more detailed than a system design.

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

I. Project Proposal. The project proposal should contain enough detail so that relevant stakeholders (who will vary depending on your selected case study) can determine if the proposed solution is feasible and will address the needs or gaps in the current operating environment. Make sure that your objectives are reasonable (i.e., could be accomplished without exorbitant resource usage, an irrational timeline, etc.).
4. Deliverables: Propose your overall solution, highlighting the key deliverables that you will create to solve the problem or challenge the statement.
5. Methodology: Establish the methodology and techniques that you intend to use throughout the design phase of your project, with support as to how each is appropriate for the situation.
6. Risks: Analyze the problem and your own solution proposal to highlight any risks that may prevent successful completion of your solution design. Include risks that result from the project not fulfilling the objective to solve the information technology problem. In other words, what risks are present and how would they impact the potential for a successful information technology solution?
