Humanitarian organizations typically provide emergency response following natural disasters or disease outbreaks in underserved and sometimes war-torn regions throughout the world. Decades of military conflict in Afghanistan, for example, left the nation struggling economically and with very little healthcare infrastructure, leaving its residents largely dependent on humanitarian aid from organizations such as Doctors Without Borders (2021). The organization provides much needed emergency and maternal-neonatal care, but as it is a humanitarian organization, it is reliant on donations to continue its work. Because of the lack of infrastructure and healthcare resources within these countries, many populations struggle with outbreaks of infectious disease and maternal/infant mortality stemming from lack of knowledge or preventive/treatment resources and poor sanitation. Masters-prepared public health nurses in organizations such as this may be involved in a wide range of activities to address these issues, from health education and perinatal care classes to mass vaccination, disease tracking, and sanitation projects (Doctors Without Borders, n.d.).

Hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol levels in the blood) is associated with various cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, stroke, and myocardial infarction. Research how hypercholesterolemia develops, as well as its complications.

One of the tools that can be used for map and assess relationship between components of systems is feedback loops. A feedback loop is a process in which some portion, or all of the system’s output is used, as input for future operations (Acaroglu.) Feedback loops can be created that are effective in keeping patients, and providers alike engaged for example, by alerting a physician office when a patient has markedly abnormal blood sugar or blood pressure, thereby allowing the clinicians to focus, on patients at high risk without intervention (Acaroglu.) Since everything is interconnected, there are constant feedback loops and flows between elements of a system (Acaroglu.)

 The two main types of feedback loops are reinforcing and balancing (Acaroglu.) What can be confusing is a reinforcing feedback loop is not usually a good thing (Acaroglu.) This happens when elements in a system reinforce more of the same, such as population growth or algae growing exponentially in a pond (Acaroglu.) In reinforcing loops, an abundance of one element can continually refine itself, which often leads to it taking over (Acaroglu.)

 A negative feedback loop is a type of self-regulating system (Acaroglu.) In a negative feedback loop, increased output from the system inhibits future production by the system (Acaroglu.) The system controls how much product it makes by shutting down manufacturing when levels of output or the amount of accumulated product gets too high (Acaroglu.) Positive feedback in economic systems can cause boom-then-bust cycles, such as a loud squealing or howling sound produced by audio feedback in public address systems: the microphone picks up sound from its own loudspeakers, amplifies it, and sends it through the speakers again (Acaroglu.)

Informed consent is used in almost every hospital around the world. Was informed consent is usually used before a procedure or anything invasive is likely to occur. There are certain ways we can understand that a patient understands procedure or the informed consent. For example, after we go over the instructions with the patient regarding a trial, we can ask them do they have any questions regarding The procedure for the trial. Afterwards, we can ask the patient to double check that they understand what the trial or procedure is that they are signing for. Anybody can listen in and sign a paper, but if we don’t ask for patience specific questions regarding the trial For the procedure, we will never know if they truly understand. The whole point of me informed consent is to get verification that the patient understands the procedure. The patient can always refuse the procedure as well because they have autonomy which means freedom of choice to their own care. When we explain informed consent we not only talk about the procedure, but we also talk about the Risk during the procedure and any potential complications that could occur. Not only that, there could be specimens tech to the lab, pictures and photographs might be taken. There are a lot of things that goes into a informed consent in explaining a trial or procedure to a patient. Like stated above, in order to understand and make sure patient understands the procedure, we need to ask them questions regarding the procedure and have them repeat information back. Most importantly we need to have them know that there are complications that could potentially.

I need an explanation for this Nursing question to help me study.

We must remember that consent has three essentials parts including: disclosure of information, decisional capacity, and voluntarism. As we know, the researcher must be aware of many things before conducting a study. Let’s take one of those and talk a little more about it. Let’s talk about voluntarism. Recruitment of participants is a critical aspect of research. They have to recruit to find participants in order for them to volunteer. However. the recruitment can’t be considered coercion. You also can’t provide too much of an incentive – or that can be construed as coercion. However, you can provide compensation for participants that is considered ethical and is not considered coercion.

How can you know the difference between coercion and a reasonable incentive – if you were writing a grant and want to provide an incentive for participation to the target audience you were trying to recruit to volunteer? Can anyone provide an example?
