Humanities Homework Help. ANTHRO 101 WMA Hominin Features Categorization Issues & Homo Attributes Discussion

One of the main characteristics that defines the hominin tribe are their bipedal tendencies. However, as you have noted in reading for this week’s assigments, not all hominins had the same bipedal capabilities. Early hominins can be defined as being at various stages of transitioning into bipedalism while later forms are obligate bipeds. At the same time there are many other things that we can explore that relate to hominins. Often times there are new discoveries that are made and those discoveries make the news.

For this discussion board, I would like you to share a news article that specifically deals with hominins. The news article can be up to 10 years old.

Make sure you do the following for points.

Note: Make sure that the news that you read only deals with one of the following genera – Sahelanthropus, Ardipithecus, Australopithecus.

Give a brief summary of what you read. In one short paragraph tell the class what the news was about. Include the following items as part of your post.

Name the species in question (genus and species designations).

What is the approximate age of the fossil and where it was found.

Tell us why it the fossil made the news. Why is it important.

Humanities Homework Help. North Central University Role of Statistics in Social Work Research Blog Post

Imagine you are a member of the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR), a professional organization for researchers in social work. In your own words, prepare a hypothetical blog post for the organization’s home page for other social work researchers to read and respond to. For your blog, analyze the questions below.

  • What role do statistics play in social work research? Do you believe they are simply superfluous (an unnecessary burden) or are they useful? On what do you base your opinion?
  • Some argue that outliers should be eliminated from results. Do you agree or disagree with this approach? Why or why not? How do oppressed, marginalized, and vulnerable populations correspond to the notion of outliers?

Length of blog: 3-5 pages, not including title and reference pages. Support your blog with at least three scholarly sources.

Your blog must be effectively designed and meet the following criteria:

  1. Contains text that is readable (e.g., appropriate size of font, type of font, contrasts with the background, contains sufficient white space),
  2. Includes information within the blog that supports the assignment.
  3. Ensures any included links are active and work.
  4. Contains at least one graphic.
  5. Uses the same template throughout the blog with a consistent design.

Your blog should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your submission should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards where appropriate. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

Humanities Homework Help. Moorpark College Systematic Racism and Racial Stereotyping Within Media Essay

Preliminary Suppositions and Implications ( one page – 10 points) Just because you don’t have to actually conduct the study and analyze the results, doesn’t mean you can skip talking about the analytical process and potential implications. The purpose of this section is to argue how and in what ways you believe your research will refine, revise, or extend existing knowledge in the subject area under investigation. Depending on the aims and objectives of your study, describe how the anticipated results will impact future scholarly research, theory, practice, forms of interventions, or policymaking. Note that such discussions may have either substantive [a potential new policy], theoretical [a potential new understanding], or methodological [a potential new way of analyzing] significance.

When thinking about the potential implications of your study, ask the following questions:

  • What might the results mean in regards to challenging the theoretical framework and underlying assumptions that support the study?
  • What suggestions for subsequent research could arise from the potential outcomes of the study?
  • What will the results mean to practitioners in the natural settings of their workplace?
  • Will the results influence programs, methods, and/or forms of intervention?
  • How might the results contribute to the solution of social, economic, or other types of problems?
  • Will the results influence policy decisions?
  • In what way do individuals or groups benefit should your study be pursued?
  • What will be improved or changed as a result of the proposed research?
  • How will the results of the study be implemented and what innovations or transformative insights could emerge from the process of implementation?

NOTE: This section should not delve into idle speculation, opinion, or be formulated on the basis of unclear evidence. The purpose is to reflect upon gaps or understudied areas of the current literature and describe how your proposed research contributes to a new understanding of the research problem should the study be implemented as designed.
