Choose a topic of your choice that relates to the materials covered during the fifth and sixth weeks of the course, examine it in detail though the eyes of a physical security analyst / manager, and write a short research paper on it. This is your opportunity to explore in-depth a topic that you have a greater interest in than what we covered during the course. Technical Requirements: Your paper must be at a minimum of 5-7 pages (the Title, Abstract, and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit). Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content. Scholarly sources include peer reviewed articles, government publications, and academic texts. Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space. Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework. Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. Purpose

Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders are perhaps one of the most debilitating and stigmatizing mental health conditions practitioners will encounter out in the field. Clients who live with such conditions often experience significant challenges in terms of functionality due to chronicity of psychosis (a break in reality), as well as other symptoms that are–in and of themselves– disabling. Treatment is primarily pharmacological; however, depending on the client’s current level of cognitive functioning, non-pharmacological treatments may also be beneficial (mostly in terms of dealing with distress experienced around their own symptoms).

ESSAY # 2 – ARGUMENT EVALUATION

The U.S. Supreme Court struck down a California law banning the sale or rental of violent video games to minors. The court ruled that the law violated free-speech rights and that government did not have the power to “restrict ideas to which children may be   exposed.” In a letter to the IEEE magazine “The Institute”, a reader expressed his disagreement with the court ruling using the following argument:

“Minors need to be protected, but not all parents are willing or able to protect their children from harmful materials. There is evidence that many minors involved in brutal crimes regularly played violent video games and often copied certain aspects of the games in the real life. A government that fails to protect its citizens can rightfully be blamed for sacrificing essential human values to ensure profits for the gaming industry.”
