Week 8 Discussion 1 (Side-effects) – GROUP 9

Most of us know rather little about the medications we take beyond their purpose and maybe the most common side effects. For this Discussion, try to get to know a drug a little better. Choose a drug that you have taken, either over the counter or prescription, and look it up with FDA Label Search: https://labels.fda.gov/ (Links to an external site.). Read the label — which usually contains fascinating information, including details on clinical trials, dangerous side effects, dosing, and so on — and write your post.

Note: Please choose a drug you feel comfortable discussing with your classmates.

In your post:

• Name the drug and briefly explain why and how often you’ve used it.
• Link to the FDA label.
• List three things that you learned about the drug from the label that you found interesting, concerning, and/or surprising.
• Does this information change your view about the drug? About the FDA? How?
