Humanities Homework Help. Concordia College Music Service Preference Discussion

Need help with my Music question – I’m studying for my class.

  • 1st paragraph: Explain both the apps and the methods that you use to listen to and find music. Rather than just list the apps, explain how you use them to find music. For example, do you get suggestions from software, based on your previous choices? Search tracks based on input from friends? Search by genre, by playlists? Follow what appears on your social media feed? In other words, what choices determine the music you typically hear?
  • 2nd paragraph: How do you think that these ways of encountering music you just described affect the kinds of music that you are exposed to? Are there types of music you’re aware you would enjoy but don’t usually encounter because they don’t appear through your normal ways of finding music?
  • 3rd paragraph: This week’s readings and film on the music industry described a range of different fears that people have about changes in the popular music business. As summarized at the end of the instructor’s lecture, explain whether you share any of those worries or not, and why. Do you feel like there is anything you would like to change about your own habits, and if so, what?
  • This part is based on the assigned film “Intangible Asset No. 82.” After watching the film, write a response of roughly 2-3 paragraphs that address the following questions:
    • Towards the end of the film, Barker reflects on the healing ritual that he witnessed for Kim Seok-Chul and describes how he (Barker) gained a different perspective on the music after that experience. In your own words, how do you think that Barker was transformed by that experience of witnessing the healing ritual, and what questions did it raise for him? What is your own reaction to that scene in the film?
    • Drawing on this and other examples from the film, share your own reflections on what this film tells us about the potential of music for increasing cultural understanding. Can music help us better understand cultural differences? What can we learn about this process (understanding cultural differences) from the story told in this film?

Managing Boundaries in the Helping Process

Managing boundaries is an everyday reality faced by human service professionals, particularly those who live and practice in small communities. Helpers who work in rural communities may have greater challenges in dealing with multiple relationships than those who work in urban areas.

Assignment Scenarios

Scenario 1

A human service professional discovers that all of her bank accounts are at the local bank where a client works as a teller. This client has access to the human service professional’s financial information and may be able to ascertain who the human service professional’s other clients are in town when checks are deposited.

Scenario 2

A human service professional sees one of his clients at the local grocery store. The client is with one or more other persons. The human service professional, who is mindful of confidentiality, must decide how to respond. If he doesn’t acknowledge the client, will the client feel snubbed? On the other hand, what if the human service professional approaches the client to say hello and the client doesn’t want others to know that he or she is working with the human service professional?

Scenario 3

A human service professional has been invited to a dinner party hosted by a friend. She is not aware of the fact that the friend’s son is dating one of her new clients, who also attends the party. Upon seeing her client at her friend’s party, the human service professional must decide how to respond. This scenario can be taken in a number of directions. For example, what if the client has concerns with the human service professional’s friend because the son constantly complains about him/her? What if the client identifies as being gay and is romantically involved with the friend’s son, but his parent (the human service professional’s friend) does not know that he is gay?

Scenario 4

A former client wants to become “friends” with you on social media. You understand the importance of ethical practice and attempt to avoid blurred boundaries, dual relationships, breaks in confidentiality, and privacy issues. You mistakenly add this former client to your “friends” list and are unsure how to proceed.

Assignment Directions

For this assignment you will discuss each scenario in terms of managing the boundaries of the helping process.

Please be sure to address all of the following in your assignment:

  • Discuss the importance of following ethical guidelines in human service practice.
  • For each of the four scenarios above:
    • Identify the ethical problem.
    • List the NOHS Ethical Standard that aligns with the ethical problem.
    • Develop a strategy to resolve the ethical problem.

Humanities Homework Help. Walden University Focus Groups vs Individual Interviews Essay

By now, you have experienced and studied a variety of data collection methods from interviews and focus groups to transcripts and ancillary documents. As Ravitch and Carl (2021) explain, “qualitative data collection should be intentional, rigorous, and systematic” (p. 124). But in no way should be bound by rules and procedures as much as related to the lived experiences of the participants.

For this Discussion, you will explore different data collection methods and draw comparisons. You also will examine strengths, weaknesses, and the challenges they may present.

To prepare for this Discussion:

  • Review this week’s Learning Resources related to codes and coding.
  • Consider the similarities and differences in the data collected from your interview and from the transcripts of the Scholars of Change videos.
  • Consider the other data collection methods you studied (focus groups, reviews of documents and social media; and your own memos and notes).
  • Review your Major Assignment 1, paying attention to the alignment between your research question and considerations for data collection.

A response to the following:

  • From the data you collected and other data collection methods you studied, compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of at least two data collection methods. Include an explanation of your experience using these different data collection methods. Also, include an explanation of what you found difficult or challenging and why.
  • Explain how you as the researcher can ensure that your choices for data collection align with your research questions. Use your experience from Major Assignment 1 as an example.

Humanities Homework Help. GCCCD Political Prisoners Prisons and Black Liberation by Angela Y Davis Discussion

I need an explanation for this English question to help me study.

The next step is to take your chosen letter and explore: (remember you will only use one of the letters for your first paper)

What is the purpose of this piece?

Why was it written?

What did the author hope to achieve by it?

What is the tone? Is it constant? Does it change? How so?

Who is the intended Audience? Why are the purpose and tone relevant to the audience?

Why does exploring the purpose, tone, audience help you break down the writing?

Humanities Homework Help. Topic: Education- Outline And Annotated Bibliography

Dear Students: Hopefully you are continuing your preliminary work for what will eventually be your 4-6 page Research Paper (with roughly 4-6 sources). Now it’s time to take the next steps beyond finding your first three sources by adding at least one more source and then (1) completing an Annotated Bibliography and (2) a Formal Outline for your paper. I ask that you complete these two assignments, detailed below, by no later than the beginning of our scheduled class period on Saturday, 7/24/21.

First Assignment:

An “Annotated Bibliography” is a bibliography that gives a brief summary of each of your minimum 4 sources to provide your reader with an evaluation of each source.

Please be exact in following the model provided via the links below:

1.Provide the MLA Heading for a College Paper with the listing of Your Name, My Name, The Class, and the Date

2.State your Topic, such as Internet Dating

3.State your given position on your Topic, your Thesis, such as Internet Dating while convenient and surprisingly romantic also comes with great risk.

4.Provide the precise MLA citation for your source, whether it be an article, book, or TEDTALK, and then put your summary below it. (This has to be done exactly, not just the pasting of an URL, so please consult a reference text such as OWL Purdue or simply Google “How to cite an article MLA style” and copy the model)

LibGuides: MLA Style Guide, 8th Edition: MLA Annotated Bibliography

Second Assignment:

Outline your Research Paper by reviewing the notes provided by the link below. You will note that this isn’t the same “Informal Outline” that we practiced for the Textual Analysis Papers, but rather a more Formal Outline for the purpose of Research Writing. *I’ll remind you that you are striving to write a paper of roughly 4-6 pages.

The size of your invoice is 8.5” x 11”, and it must be created in Adobe InDesign. Save a package of your work, which will include a PDF. Exemplary use of typography and the elements and principles of design is expected. Make sure the package name includes your own name. ZIP the package. Please check the Course Calendar for the specific due date.
