This Unit’s Question

Look for stories about gender in newspapers, magazines, or television. Online reports may be good choices, but the report should come from a magazine-style website and not a blog. When such reports appear, get the story and the original research report. Compare the original report of the research with the media report. Did the media do a good job of reporting this research, or did the findings appear more clear-cut than they actually were? Could the reporters have done a better job and still presented a clear story, or did they try to highlight the differences between the genders?

Hello! This is a writing assignment, approximately no more than 2 pages long. It is about the stories listed in the PDF and the way the characters view the world and how they attempt to alter their situation/problem in order to benefit from it. There is 6 stories that you will cite and I will let you know about these stories.

Immigration Project – (15%): DUE DATE: END OF WEEK 6

For this assignment, students will investigate the current state of immigration in this country. There are already a large number of undocumented individuals in the country. How do you think this issue should be handled? Why? Please address government action, economic action and others as you deem appropriate.
